When a saved analysis reopens, its status message follows the restored analysis tab. A converted Gauge retains its fields while Threadseer asks for the required event columns; conversion alone does not start analysis. Event inputs must remain unsummarized, including optional dimensions. Threadseer also explains when an assigned field is not delivered as event rows so you can reassign it before analysis. Explicit Analyze/Reanalyze, local processing and protected resource limits remain unchanged.

Saved analyses retain the selected analysis tab when reopening with the same mapped input. This restoration keeps the explicit Analyze/Reanalyze workflow: changed data still requires analysis. Bookmarks with Data disabled leave the current tab unchanged.

Appearance and theme colors are checked before rendering. Invalid color values fall back to the existing defaults instead of being treated as image or paint references. Valid colors, process calculations and the explicit Analyze/Reanalyze workflow are preserved.

Hierarchy cards, tooltips and map guidance call the existing counts Entries. A group entry combines consecutive events in one group; leaving and returning adds another entry. At the activity level, entries count individual occurrences, including consecutive repetitions. Counts, timing calculations and report filtering are unchanged.

Power BI waits for asynchronous snapshot restoration and segmented loading to settle before Threadseer reports that rendering is complete. Overlapping report updates, cancellation and recovery retain the explicit Analyze/Reanalyze workflow.
If license information does not arrive, the visual stops waiting and shows its existing unavailable-license guidance. Build dependency security updates do not change process calculations or data privacy.
Adding and removing variant cohorts keeps the complete analyzed snapshot while Power BI applies the report filter and saves the exploration. Clear removes Threadseer's case filter while preserving filters set elsewhere. A genuine change to report filters still shows Selection changed and waits for your explicit analysis.

A compact header keeps Process Explorer and the edition badge together. When mapped data or report filters change, Selection changed compares displayed and new row counts while keeping the previous results visible until you choose Analyze new selection. The analysis time is available through the snapshot information control by mouse or keyboard.
Power BI bookmarks can restore the active tab and Process Map exploration: Standard or Hierarchy, options, selected variants, expanded groups, highlights and pan/zoom. Keep Data enabled when creating the bookmark. See setup instructions and restoration limits.
Continue through variant selections by keyboard while Power BI updates the report filter. Focus stays on the current control when it remains available.
The Process Map's Variants pane, help area and surrounding canvas follow Power BI's high-contrast palette in both Standard and Hierarchy modes.
Optional hierarchy fields let you expand business stages and subprocesses within the existing Process Map. Both map modes share controls, case coverage and variant selections. Invalid hierarchy mappings show a warning while Standard remains usable.
Clock labels display average elapsed transition time by default. Frequency, case percentage and median time are available. Map selections highlight paths; compact tooltips appear after a short hover delay. Layout improvements keep expanded groups clear of neighboring charts and preserve route and category styling.
The sample maps Revenue Cycle Stage, Activity Category and Activity on a 2000 px Process Explorer canvas. Processing stays local, and changed report filters still require explicit reanalysis.

Small visuals now provide scrolling within their own boundaries. Activities, paths, variants and cases filter other report visuals by contributing Case IDs, with explicit limits and clear-selection behavior. Resizing and selection preserve the current analysis.

Threadseer brings process discovery and investigation into one Power BI visual. Map Case ID, Activity, and Timestamp, then choose Analyze to explore how work moves through your process. Your report and process data stay in Power BI and are not sent to Wittenauer Software.

Working with Power BI
- Choose Analyze to create a snapshot. When mapped data or filters change, keep the previous results visible until you choose to analyze the new selection.
- If Power BI recreates the visual, Threadseer can automatically rebuild the last explicitly requested analysis when the data and mapped fields are unchanged, within the current license and data-capacity limits.
- Use keyboard navigation and visible focus indicators across workspace controls, including Enter and Space selection on process-map transitions.
- Inspect Power BI Value-field formatting in relevant map labels and tooltips.
- When a read-only dashboard tile receives only part of a larger dataset, Threadseer directs you to the source report instead of loading indefinitely or analyzing incomplete data.
