Terms of Use
These terms cover this support website, its documentation, and the public GitHub issue tracker. They do not replace the separate license for the Threadseer Power BI visual.
Threadseer is published and owned by Wittenauer Software LLC. The Threadseer Power BI visual is licensed separately under the terms applicable when you acquire or use the visual through Microsoft Marketplace or another authorized private distribution.
The Threadseer product license
Threadseer is a Power BI custom visual intended for distribution through Microsoft Marketplace.
When Threadseer is acquired through Microsoft Marketplace, your right to install, access, and use the Threadseer visual is governed by the Microsoft Standard Contract for Microsoft Marketplace presented with the offer.
These website Terms of Use do not replace or modify that product license agreement.
If these Terms conflict with the applicable product license agreement regarding your use of the Threadseer visual, the applicable product license agreement controls.
Before Marketplace availability, a private approval, evaluation, or review distribution is governed by the terms supplied with that distribution. This website does not create a public download or product license.

Public issues and confidential information
Public GitHub issues are publicly accessible.
Do not submit customer datasets, employer datasets, confidential event logs, sensitive Power BI report files, credentials, personal information, proprietary business information, or other sensitive information through public GitHub issues.
Bug reports and feature requests should use synthetic, anonymized, or otherwise non-confidential examples whenever possible.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to disclose any information you submit through Threadseer support resources.
Security reports
Potential security vulnerabilities must not be reported through public GitHub issues.
Use the Threadseer project's private vulnerability reporting process for suspected security vulnerabilities.
Private vulnerability reporting is intended for legitimate security reports and should not be used for ordinary product support, feature requests, or general questions.
Using Threadseer results
Threadseer provides analytical and visualization tools intended to help users explore and understand process data.
Results produced by Threadseer depend on factors including:
- the source data;
- data quality;
- field mappings;
- filters;
- process definitions;
- configuration;
- assumptions; and
- the Power BI environment in which the analysis is performed.
Threadseer results should be reviewed and interpreted by an appropriate user before they are relied upon for business, operational, financial, compliance, employment, legal, safety, or other consequential decisions.
Threadseer does not guarantee that an analysis identifies every:
- process condition;
- bottleneck;
- exception;
- variation;
- compliance issue;
- data-quality problem;
- operational risk; or
- other condition that may exist in the underlying process or dataset.
You remain responsible for evaluating the accuracy, completeness, relevance, and suitability of Threadseer outputs for your intended use.
Feedback
You may voluntarily submit suggestions, ideas, feature requests, bug reports, documentation improvements, or other feedback concerning Threadseer.
You represent that you have the right to provide that feedback.
Feedback may be used to evaluate, maintain, improve, develop, or promote Threadseer without an obligation to implement the feedback or compensate you for providing it.
Submitting feedback does not transfer ownership of your underlying confidential information or intellectual property to Threadseer.
Do not submit confidential information as feedback unless you are specifically authorized to disclose it.
Intellectual property
Threadseer, its software, visual design, documentation, branding, and related materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except for rights expressly granted under the applicable product license agreement, no ownership interest in Threadseer or its intellectual property is transferred to you.
Microsoft, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Marketplace, GitHub, GitHub Pages, and other third-party names, products, services, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Availability and support expectations
Public documentation, the support website, issue tracking, and community support are provided on a reasonable-efforts basis.
Features, documentation, support resources, compatibility, and availability may change over time.
Unless expressly provided in a separate written agreement, Threadseer does not guarantee:
- a particular support response time;
- a particular issue resolution time;
- a service level;
- uninterrupted availability;
- continued support for a particular Power BI version or environment; or
- implementation of requested features or changes.
Microsoft and GitHub services
Threadseer is designed for use with Microsoft Power BI.
Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Marketplace, GitHub, GitHub Pages, and other third-party products or services are operated independently by their respective providers and are governed by their own agreements and policies.
Threadseer does not control those third-party services or their availability, security, privacy practices, or functionality.
Privacy
Information handling related to the Threadseer Power BI visual, this support website, and GitHub support resources is described in the Threadseer Privacy Notice.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms when Threadseer, its support resources, applicable requirements, or our practices change.
Material changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
Changes to these website Terms do not alter the separate product license agreement governing your use of the Threadseer Power BI visual unless that agreement expressly provides otherwise.
Questions and contact
For non-confidential product questions, bug reports, feature requests, documentation questions, or questions concerning these Terms, use the Threadseer GitHub support repository.
Do not submit confidential, personal, account, purchase, privacy-rights, customer, or employer information through public GitHub issues. A verified private support/contact route will be published before public sale. If you receive Threadseer through Microsoft before then, use the private publisher contact supplied with that distribution.
Potential security vulnerabilities should be reported through the project's private vulnerability reporting process.
Private vulnerability reporting is only for suspected security issues and must not be used for ordinary product, legal, licensing, or privacy questions.
